We went to Marseille where Tarryn (our daughter) treated us to Bouillabaisse at a lovely restaurant, Chez Fonfon, in the picturesque harbour of Vallon des Auffes. This is one of the original restaurants that was included in the Bouillabaisse charter in 1980.\u00a0Read more here<\/a><\/p>\n

Bouillabaisse is one of my very favourite dishes that I first ate in Marseille in the ’70s. \u00a0I have tasted it all over the world but I do believe it is the best in the South of France and in Marseille in particular. So it was a very special for me as I have not been back in Marseille again until this visit. I do know that nostalgia has a very poor memory but this was just perfect and exactly as I remembered. What a very special luxury\u00a0– thanks Tarryn.<\/p>\n
