My original itinerary had me cycling to Kanchanaburi and then North to Mae Sot but I changed my mind as I also wanted to see Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of Siam. Hence the train trip to see the Bridge and the River.\u00a0 I asked for routing advice from Bicycle Thailand<\/a>\u00a0 and I was pleased to find that the routes they provided made my navigation out of Bangkok pretty simple and I cycled all the way to Ayutthaya on delightful rural roads through little villages and farming communities passing many rice paddies on the way.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
